curator and art critic. In 2024, she obtained a PhD in the humanities in the discipline of art studies, based on a dissertation devoted to the strategies and practices of young art curators from Katowice and Kraków (the dissertation received distinction). In her curatorial and research practice, she is primarily interested in issues related to the relationship between contemporary art and the Romantic tradition (including artists’ engagement with themes of magic, horror, and the esoteric). She is also interested in the strategies and practices of art curators, emerging art, as well as critical reflection on art institutions and the activities of independent artistic initiatives. She works at the Department of Contemporary Culture at the Institute of Culture of the Jagiellonian University.

Paweł Drabarczyk vel Grabarczyk
Art historian, adjunct at the Institute of Cultural Studies, University of Wrocław. His research examines the functioning of such categories in art as the sublime, the unrepresentable, melancholy, the sacred, and the uncanny. He is also interested in the longue durée of the Romantic imagination, particularly the semantic shifts occurring within it in relation to the growing “Anthropocene consciousness” and changing attitudes toward the sacred. His research interests further include theories of imagination, alternative histories of art, and the spectral institutions brought into being by artists. Author of the book ‘Gorączka i popiół. Imaginaria nowej sztuki’ (‘Fever and Ashes: Imaginaries of New Art’, 2023).
