Szymon Piotr Kubiak

holds a habilitation in art history, he is a certified museum curator, and university lecturer; associated with the National Museum in Szczecinfrom 2010 to 2024 , he has been an assistant professor at the Academy of Art in Szczecin since 2011. His research focuses on the twentieth century, especially the history of the applied arts: architecture, the decorative arts, industrial design, interior design, exhibition design, and scenography. He is the author of the books Modernizm zapoznany. Architektura Poznania 1919–1939 (2014), Daleko od Moskwy. Gérard Singer i sztuka zaangażowana (2015), Archeomoderna. Polska sztuka nowoczesna i mity państwotwórcze. Przewodnik (2021), Macierz. Szczecińskie muzea i sztuka dla Nowego Pomorzanina 1910–1945 (2023), Else Mögelin. Bauhaus i duchowość na Pomorzu (2024). He has curated more than twenty exhibitions, including projects awarded or distinguished in the Sybilla Museum Event of the Year competition (2013, 2016).
