Piotr Zawojski

 is a professor at the Institute of Cultural Studies of the University of Silesia and a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. He specialises in photography, film, new media art, cyberculture and technoculture. Among the books he has authored are Elektroniczne obrazoświaty. Między sztuką a technologią (2000), Cyberkultura. Syntopia sztuki, nauki i technologii (2010, 2018), Sztuka obrazu i obrazowania w epoce nowych mediów (2012), Technokultura i jej manifestacje artystyczne. Medialny świat hybryd i hybrydyzacji (2016), Pisanie i czytanie (o) fotografii. Odkrywcy, klasycy, obrazoburcy (2023), Cztery eseje o kulturze i sztuce w epoce AI (2025). He is a member of the Committee on Cultural Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the International Association of Art Critics (AICA).
