Marta Anna Raczek‑Karcz

obtained her MA in Art History and Cultural Studies and her PhD in Art Studies from the Jagiellonian University. Her research centres on contemporary printmaking, cultural anthropology and game studies. She is an art theorist and critic and an independent curator. She has judged and selected in printmaking competitions in Bilbao, Cremona, Cairo, Katowice, Olsztyn and Poznań. From 2007 to 2013, she served as vice president and then (2013–2025) as president at the Board of the International Print Triennial Society in Krakow. She is the secretary general of the association for cultural studies Polskie Towarzystwo Kulturoznawcze and a member of the AICA. She has authored over 30 academic articles, several dozen reviews devoted to visual arts and catalogue essays.
