Karolina Jakaitė

is a design historian, researcher and curator. She works at the Institute for Art Research at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, where she teaches the history of design. She is a co-founder of the Design Foundation (Dizaino fondas) and has curated projects and exhibitions, including Retrotopia: Design for Socialist Spaces (2023). Her research focuses on Lithuanian design of the Soviet period and the history of design institutions
