Andrzej Marzec

is a philosopher, film critic and assistant professor at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, and a lecturer at the SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts in Poznań. His research interests revolve around speculative realism, object‑oriented ontology, environmental humanities, dark ecology and contemporary alternative cinema. He has authored the books Widmontologia. Teoria filozoficzna i praktyka artystyczna ponowoczesności (2015) and Antropocień – filozofia i estetyka po końcu świata (2021), and co‑edited Derrida and Film Studies (2025).
